The rotary evaporator works under vacuum conditions, the bath is heated at a constant temperature, and the evaporating flask rotates at a constant speed. The drug is not easy to form dirt in the flask to affect the heat transfer effect and the material forms a large area film on the flask wall, which greatly improves the evaporation efficiency of the solvent. Because the water temperature of the constant temperature bath is low, it will not lead to the decomposition and denaturation of the drug. Therefore, the rotary evaporator is especially suitable for the refining and concentration of traditional Chinese medicine preparations which are easy to decompose and denature at high temperatures.
