Automatic oxidation stability tester

IST149B automatic oxidation stability tester maintains relative stability for a short period of time in a sealed environment at room temperature without excessive pressure of oxygen. When the temperature is raised and pressurized, the hindering effect of the food itself on the oxidation of fats and oils will be weakened. After placing the sample into the testing cell and sealing it, oxygen is introduced into the testing chamber, and the sample is heated. Oxygen consumption is expressed by a decrease in pressure. The measurement continues until the turning point - the defined pressure drop - is reached. This result is called the induction period (IP), which is the duration between the start of testing and the turning point, and represents the oxidation stability of the tested sample.

This product adopts AOAC recommended method: oxygen pressure change method, this instrument automatically records the oxygen pressure change of food oxidation process, through this method can know the stability of food oil oxidation. Applicable to foods containing oils, solids or liquids, including vegetable and animal tissues, which can directly detect foods without the need for separation of oils and fats.
